Michael Hanna, DDS Dr. Michael Hanna, originally from East Lyme, Connecticut, holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Stony Brook University (Cum Laude). He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from the same institution, receiving the Pierre Fauchard Academy Senior Student Award and conducting notable research on gingival mesenchymal stem cells. His research garnered awards like the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Sigma Tau Chapter Research Award and the ADA/Dentsply Student Clinician Research Award. He also presented his research nationally, ranking in the Top 3 for Basic and Translational Science Research at the Dentsply Student Clinician Research Symposium. Following this, Dr. Hanna completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at Boston University/Boston Medical Center. His research during this period focused on Craniofacial Trauma disparities in Rural and Urban areas. He concluded his residency as Chief Resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, gaining extensive experience in various areas of the field, including dentoalveolar surgery, dental implantology, head and neck pathology, maxillofacial trauma, TM] surgery, orthognathic surgery, and anesthesia, all incorporating cutting-edge technologies. Dr. Hanna specializes in full scope Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, with a keen interest in implantology, dentoalveolar surgery, reconstruction, and maxillofacial trauma. He is certified in BLS, ACLS, ALTS, and PALS, ensuring patient safety and comfort. He stays updated on the latest advancements in the field through ongoing education. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with family and friends and is a passionate sports fan. |
